It's only the non Japanese games that will usually have any English options in general or are only in English such as the case with heavy fire Afghanistan. Now that the Australian dollar is almost on par with the American dollar, game distributors in Australia don't seem to want to lower the prices.If the original poster wants to keep it, then go with importing from America. America (and Canada) is in the same BluRay and game region as Japan...something that was not true for the PS2, which I am glad they did right (another thing I found out before I bought it). Classics don't have the same limitation - you can download PSX/PS2 games from a Japanese PSN account on your system, and play them regardless of region (though you may run into issues with NTSC/PAL, depending upon region). Most every Japanese made game released in Japan will only having japanese no English subs or language. in case you position a DVD … Your parents made a mistake...but if you start hacking it, you will make a bigger mistake some day.But, if you are still adamant about keeping it, I suggest you import games from America. I believe no one has bothered making PS3 … They don't sound very bright to me.Whats the ps3's price in Australia? I can think of many people who would love to get what you have, but I can understand how getting something not in your language/region just ruins the whole experience of getting a PS3.

Playing undubbed PS2 games (Original audio + English Text) requires a mod chip, so I the same would apply to PS3 games. if there are other alternatives (online scripts etc etc) please add them as well maybe i can enjoy the game without translating it. Whoever buys it will take it back here some day.
